Christmas and New Year at Frognel Hall Hotel

Frognel Hall is an ideal venue for a festive break with its Victorian character and peaceful situation, wonderful home cooking and warm and friendly welcome.

Our standard Christmas programme extends over a five night stay with arrival on Tuesday 23rd December and departure on Sunday 28th December. Shorter stays are also available.

Our New Year's festivities extend over a three night stay, with arrival on 30th December  and departure on 2 January 2010!

Both these breaks are full board and include entertainment and plenty of opportunities to relax and party.

This year we are fully booked but if you would like to come and celebrate in style with us at Frognel Hall in the future please let us know and we will inform you of vacanies.

A typical Christmas Itinerary

23rd December
Arrival during the afternoon. Join us in the lounge for tea, coffee, or drinks from the bar, while Santa’s Little Helpers take care of your luggage. The evening continues in the lounge with a “Guess the weight of the cake” competition and musical entertainment, with dancing for the more energetic. Warm mince pies will be served later on in the bar to round off the evening.

Christmas Eve

Dinner will be served from 6.30pm, followed by a Christmas Quiz in the lounge from about 8.30pm. Mince pies to finish the day. Taxies can be ordered to take you to the lovely St. Matthias local church to attend midnight communion and start Christmas in the right spirit.

Christmas Day

Traditional Christmas lunch will be served at about 1.00pm with all the trimmings, and the afternoon will be free to walk it off, or relax and chat in the lounge, or perhaps watch the Queen’s speech on TV. Christmas buffet from 7.00pm, followed by musical entertainment in the lounge.

Boxing Day
Breakfast from 8.30am. Join Amanda for a morning walk, weather and energy levels permitting! Morning free to relax. A light luncheon will be served in the lounge at about 1.00pm, followed by a trip to Babbacombe Theatre at 3.00pm for the annual Christmas show (please book with the hotel in advance). Dinner from 6.30pm, followed by the results of the cake competition and a quiz and games in the lounge. Late night Christmas cake will finish off the evening.
