June 2010: June started with a wedding reception on Friday 4th, for Isla and Richard. We provided a buffet for 80 guests in the late afternoon and there was a disco in the evening. The weather was beautiful and the guests enjoyed the garden, many staying outside for most of the evening playing boules, football, or relaxing with a drink. Many of the couple's family and friends stayed for a few days, so that it felt rather like a house party. Below you can see the bar and the terrace prepared for the party's arrival, complete with barrels of the local Torbay brewery Bays real ale and another favourite of ours, Otter ale from East Devon!

This year we celebrated midsummer with another murder! A wine society group from Burgess Hill stayed the weekend of 18th - 20th June. We enjoyed a wine tasting on Friday evening, and took the opportunity to try some of our local wines from Sharpham and Kenton vineyards, as well as some of the group's own products! On Saturday they took the ferry to Greenway to visit Agatha Christie's summer home, and parcipated in their very own whodunnit at Frognel Hall in the evening. They had a wonderful weekend and we enjoyed having them to stay,

May 2010: This month a group of ramblers stayed with us for a week of superb weather and walking. We enjoy rambling ourselves and love the varied scenery we have so close us:-

April 2010: We accommodated a small group of Young Farmers from Peasley visiting Torquay for the Young Farmers Conference on the weekend of 23rd-26th . They enjoyed themselves and it was a good weekend, including a black tie dinner, and a safari evening, as you can see from the photo below.

March 2010: We enjoyed a return visit of the Michelmersh Silver Band. Their rehearsals sounded excellent and they deserve every success. On the last weekend of the month a group from Burford Indoor Bowls Club came to stay, and however much they enjoyed their bowling they still had plenty of energy for dancing the nights away.

We have also decorated the drawing room which now looks bright and sunny.

February 2010: More murder mystery weekends, providing birthday and anniversary celebrations, or a great excuse for a relaxing weekend break! The pictures below show two of the actors at various points in the action.

January 2010: After a busy Christmas and New Year Amanda swanned off to Cape Town for a fortnight while Stephen enjoyed a very quiet, cold and snowy few days alone at Frognel Hall, but the month ended on a high note with a combined wedding and christening on 23rd, and the first murder mystery weekend of 2010 on 29th-31st January.
October-November 2009: As well as a fantastic country and western weekend, the autumn has ushered in another murder mystery season, with a new plot of twists and surprises, and plenty of opportunity for audience participation and fun. So far our weekends have provided a fortieth birthday celebration and a golden anniversary wedding present, so if you have any special dates coming up in 2010, you need look no further for a suitable way of celebrating!

20th June 2009: Our Midsummer Murder was a wonderful occasion. The action started outside, as it was a beautifully sunny evening, and guests had been invited to come to Margot's 60th birthday party in 60s costume. As the photos reveal, they responded in style!
